* Kevin Durant is killing it. He's destroying all his competition, and has largely positive numbers in every scoring category.
* Kyle Korver may the most underrated scorer. Well, he might be the most underrated 3 pt catch and shooter. He is making one more catch and shoot three per game than an average player. That's amazing.
* Damian Lilliard is killing it from behind the 3 pt line. He's the only player in the league to contribute a point per game by pull up three's AND catch and shoot threes.
* The teams with two of the top twenty scorers are Golden State (Curry and Thompson), Miami (LeBron and Bosh), the Clippers (Paul and Redick), and Portland (Lillard and Matthews).
* The only team with three of the top twenty scorers? Dallas, with Dirk, Ellis, and Calderon
* How many of the top twenty are "elite" at scoring on drives? With "elite" being defined as greater than one point per game above average, four players are. Only one player is elite at catch and shoot 2s, while ten are elite at catch and shoot threes. Two players for pull up 2s, 3 players for pull up threes, and only one for close shots,
* The only players not to be elite in any category? Isaiah Thomas and JJ Redick.
* The only players in the top twenty to be positive in every category? Durant, Afflalo, Ryan Anderson, Dirk, Wesley Matthews, Redick, and Carmelo.
* Who ranks last in scoring? Through three games, Rajon Rondo has scored nearly three and a half points below what an average player would have scored. He's negative in every category except close shots. Setting a cut off for players who have played in over twenty games, the worst is... Andrew Bynum! He's negative in every category in which he's attempted a shot.
* The only players to be negative in every single category? Marquis Teauge, Ish Smith, Michael Carter-Williams, Anthony Bennett, Lorenzo Brown, Dennis Schroeder, and Garrett Temple. All of those players except for Ish Smith are from the Eastern Conference.
